Start of a Journey

Start of something...
The longest journey starts with the smallest step.
Got a great text from Rob, right at the start of the day...
5 days to go, 5 days to go..
Hey ho me daddyo 5 days to go...

So I finish up in work in 5 days. Almost 9 years to the day after starting in Digifone, 9 years of technical support and troubleshooting. All of it interesting, most of it challenging, some of it even fun.
Though not quite what I imagined I'd be doing for the rest of my life, when leaving college in '98. Though I wasn't really sure what I wanted to be, what i should be doing so I just went with the flow. A bit aimless in life.
Nothing major happened, no sudden shock to the system, I just realised it was time to go for a change. SO off to New Zealand it is.
The next few months I'll be avoiding anything technical (apart from web and stuff)
Daunting doesn't quite describe it.
I'll start with a small step, a new mantra
"I will be strong, I can stop telling people how to FIX IT.."
